Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione Attorney Tom Filarski Elected Treasurer of the Licensing Executives Society (USA & Canada)

CHICAGO - Thomas J. Filarski, chair of the Chemical Group at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, was elected as the 2009-2010 treasurer of the Licensing Executives Society (USA & Canada) at the LES Annual Meeting in San Francisco, California, October 18-21, 2009.

Filarski has served eight years on the LES (USA & Canada) Board of Trustees and was previously Secretary.

"It is a privilege to become treasurer of our society," said Filarski. "As intellectual property gains significance in today's business climate, I look forward to increasing LES' role as a leader in technology transfer."

LES (USA & Canada) is a professional association comprised of more than 5,000 members engaged in the transfer, use, development, manufacture, and marketing of intellectual property.
