Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione Donates Volumes to Seattle University Law Library

CHICAGO - Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., in cooperation with LexisNexis/Matthew Bender, is pleased to announce that the firm has donated books on the subject of intellectual property law to the Seattle University School of Law Library. Included in the collection will be name partner and senior shareholder, Jerome Gilson's Gilson on Trademarks, a renowned 10-volume treatise. The books were part of the LexisNexis/Matthew Bender display at the 131st International Trademark Association's (INTA) Annual Meeting which was held from May 16, 2009 through May 20, 2009 in Seattle, Washington. For the complete list of books the law library has received, click on the link below.

Following the 2009 INTA Annual Meeting, the donation to the school's law library was arranged with the help of Jeremy Snodgrass, a graduating student at the Seattle University School of Law and an incoming first-year Brinks associate. More than 60 books covering a wide range of areas of intellectual property law will be accepted by the library.

"We are thankful for gifts-in-kind as they help us meet the research needs of our patrons by ensuring our ability to provide a wide range of materials and information resources," said Kristin A. Cheney, Associate Dean for Library and Educational Technology at the Seattle University School of Law Library.

Mr. Snodgrass will join Brinks in September 2009 after receiving his J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law and a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan. Mr. Snodgrass was a summer associate with the firm in 2008 and will focus his practice on patent prosecution and litigation.
