Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione Presents 2007 GEM Award

CHICAGO - Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, is pleased to announce that the firm's 2007 Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Award was presented to Brinks paralegal, Michele Dolinski. The award was presented to Ms. Dolinski by firm president, Gary M. Ropski and James P. Naughton, chair of the Client Service Committee, at a ceremony held at the firm on September 15, 2008.

Brinks is known for its exceptional client service and the GEM Awards program is just one aspect of a comprehensive initiative. The firm presents GEM Spot Awards at any time throughout the year to employees of the firm who have demonstrated exceptional client service by going above and beyond to serve its client. In order to qualify to win a GEM Spot Award, a firm employee or team must be nominated by a fellow employee for acts of extraordinary client service. All GEM Spot Award winners are then automatically eligible for the annual GEM Award. The GEM Awards program provides a way for the firm to recognize exemplary employees who contribute significantly to the mission and values of the organization.

Ms. Dolinski has been a paralegal at Brinks since 1998. Before joining Brinks, she worked at the intellectual property law firm Lockwood, Alex, Fitzgibbon & Cummings. Ms. Dolinksi received her paralegal certificate from Roosevelt University and a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from United States International University in San Diego, CA.

Founded in 1917, Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione is based in Chicago with five additional offices across the country serving the intellectual property needs of clients from around the world. The firm is one of the largest IP law firms in the country, with more than 170 attorneys, scientific advisors and patent agents specializing in intellectual property litigation and all aspects of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, unfair competition, intellectual asset management, and technology and licensing agreements.
