CHICAGO - Gary M. Ropski, president of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, accepted the "My Boss is a Patriot Award" on behalf of the firm, which was presented by William C. Glynn, Captain, US Navy (retired), of the Illinois Committee on Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).

The firm was nominated for the award by Brinks patent attorney, Igor V. Dubinsky, who is a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve, currently on active duty. Mr. Dubinsky nominated Brinks for the award in appreciation of the firm's continued support during Mr. Dubinsky's service in the armed forces.

Founded in 1972, the ESGR is a volunteer organization, sponsored by the Department of Defense, that works to gain employer support for National Guard and Reserve service by recognizing employers who deliver outstanding support of our military. The Patriot Award acknowledges those employers who are supportive of an employee's military service.

Other Brinks employees who are veterans of the United States military, but are not pictured above include: Jerome Gilson, Sergeant, US Army (veteran), a named partner; Nathan Greene, Captain, US Army (veteran), attorney in Brinks Salt Lake City office; and, Rod Sagarsee, Aircrew Life Support Network Administrator, US Air Force (veteran), Chief Information Officer at the firm.

Founded in 1917, Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione is based in Chicago with five additional offices across the country serving the intellectual property needs of clients from around the world.
