IP Attorney Steven P. Shurtz Participates in Salt Lake City Public Library's Inventors Fair

CHICAGO - Intellectual Property attorney, Steven P. Shurtz, managing partner of the Salt Lake City office of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firm in the United States, recently offered the benefit of his years of experience and expertise in the area of patent law at the Salt Lake City Public Library's Inventors Fair which was held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Main Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. The 2008 City Library Inventors Fair was co-sponsored by Watson Pharmaceuticals.

Members of the community were invited to spend the day sharing their work and learning from the experts. A representative from UtahInventor.org held a workshop on developing inventing skills and a representative from the University of Utah Marriott Library discussed the process of acquiring a patent. Local inventors displayed their patented or patent-pending inventions and inventions. Mr. Shurtz participated in an informative panel discussion on the patent process.

Mr. Shurtz specializes in U.S. patent application preparation and prosecution, foreign patent prosecution, patent opinion and counseling.
