IP Attorney Explains How Things Work as Part of Chicago Public Schools "Principal for a Day" Program

CHICAGO Robert D. Summers, Jr., an attorney at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., discusses the concepts of inventing and how things work with the third grade students of the George Leland Elementary School, 5221 W. Congress, Chicago, as part of the “Principal for a Day” program. The firm also donated copies of two books, “How Things Work” and “Great Inventions” to each second and third grade classroom as resources for further discovery for potential little inventors. Founded by Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley, in partnership with the Chicago Public Schools, the program brings business and civic leaders together to support Chicago’s public schools through a wide range of initiatives. Attorney and former Brinks president Jerold A. Jacover (not pictured) also participated in the program.
