CHICAGO– Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, is pleased to announce that Nathan O. Greene has recently joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s Salt Lake City, Utah office.

“Nathan is an outstanding addition to our firm,” said Steven P. Shurtz, managing partner of Brinks’ new Salt Lake City office. “His electrical engineering experience will benefit the growing demands of our clients.”

Mr. Greene focuses his practice on patents related to electrical devices, computers and software, mechanical devices, business methods and e-commerce, as well as on the procurement and protection of trademark rights.

Prior to joining Brinks, Mr. Greene practiced intellectual property law as an associate with Stoel Rives, a general practice law firm in Salt Lake City. He is an active member of the Licensing Executives Society, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Greene received his J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law School and his B.S. in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University.  In addition, Mr. Greene served as a Battalion Signal Officer (Organization Communications Manager) in the U.S. Army during an active tour of duty.
