CHICAGO - Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., has been recognized by Intellectual Property Today magazine as one of the top trademark firms in the country. The May 2006 issue of Intellectual Property Today reported its rankings for the "Top Trademark Firms" out of 126 firms participating in the survey.

Brinks issued 276 U.S. Trademark registrations in 2005 and has significantly improved in the 2006 rankings, jumping from 45th to 32nd place on the list in one year.

Intellectual Property Today, a leading legal intellectual property publication, determined its rankings according to the total number of U.S. Trademark registrations issued in 2005 where the law firms and individuals are listed as the legal representative.
