CHICAGO – Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the country, is ranked as the 26th largest law firm in Illinois, according to Chicago Lawyer magazine’s 2006 annual survey. The survey, published in the June 2006 issue of Chicago Lawyer, is based solely on the number of attorneys practicing in Illinois. Brinks is the largest firm in Illinois dedicated solely to the practice of intellectual property law on the survey. Brinks continues to move up in the rankings from 28th in 2004 to 27th in 2005 and now to the 26th slot in 2006.

The annual survey of Illinois’ largest law firms is now in its 6th year of publication. This year, Chicago Lawyer sent surveys to 169 Illinois law firms employing more than 20 lawyers; 124 law firms responded. The survey results are based on firm data as of January 1, 2006. The magazine, part of the Law Bulletin Publishing Company, is an award-winning monthly magazine covering topics about attorneys, law firms, issues and events of interest to the legal community.
