Gary M. Ropski and Meredith Martin Addy Named Top Business Lawyers in Illinois

CHICAGO – Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, announces that Gary M. Ropski, president of the firm and a shareholder, has been named one of the Top Ten Leading Business Lawyers in Illinois by the Leading Lawyers Network. Mr. Ropski is the only intellectual property attorney on this list and was recently featured in the April 2006 edition of Leading Lawyers Network Magazine. Additionally, Meredith Martin Addy, a shareholder at the firm, was named among the Top 50 Leading Women Business Lawyers in Illinois.

“I am honored to be among the Top Ten attorneys in Illinois that were selected to receive this recognition and to be profiled in Leading Lawyers Network Magazine,” said Ropski. “My colleague, Meredith Addy, deservedly received honors as one of the Top 50 Women Business Lawyers in Illinois. Brinks has a reputation for recruiting and retaining the best talent in the field of intellectual property law. Our ranking as the law firm with the most Leading Lawyers in the category of Intellectual Property Law affirms that commitment to excellence.”

Leading Lawyers lists are compiled by Leading Lawyers Network, a division of the Law Bulletin Publishing Company, and are the result of thousands of contacts with Illinois lawyers, surveying them about which of their peers they believe comprise the top lawyers. Attorneys cannot nominate attorneys with their own firms. The lawyers named have all been selected by their peers as being among the top lawyers in the state.
