Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione Named Top Chicago IP Practice in PLC's Which Lawyer? Yearbook 2006

CHICAGO – Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, has been ranked as a top Chicago IP practice by the Practical Law Company’s (PLC) Which Lawyer? Yearbook 2006. The firm shared the highest ranking, (“Leading”) for a Chicago IP practice with just one other firm.

The survey also ranks individual attorneys and, out of the 22 IP attorneys listed for all of Chicago, four members of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione made the list. The four Brinks attorneys listed in the Yearbook are Jerome Gilson, Raymond W. Green, Roy E. Hofer and Gary M. Ropski. The Yearbook’s rankings are based on responses to surveys of in-house counsel in companies listed in the PLC Law Department Profiles and on interviews with private practitioners. “It is a distinct honor to know that we, as a firm and as individual practitioners, are held in such high esteem by both our clients and peers,” said Brinks president Gary M. Ropski.
