CHICAGOM — Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, ranked fourth among law firms representing the intellectual property needs of the most Fortune 250 companies, according to IP Law & Business magazine’s annual listing of "Who Protects IP America," which appears in the magazine’s November issue.
“We are proud to continue to be recognized by our clients again this year in the top tier of firms handling the IP legal needs of the top companies,” said Brinks president Jerold A. Jacover.
IP Law & Business, an American Lawyer Media publication, surveyed the general counsel at Fortune’s 250 companies and asked which law firms they used for IP litigation and which for patent counsel. Brinks was named as litigation counsel by clients The Progressive Companies, United Air Lines, and Visteon Global Technologies; and named as patent counsel by clients Deere & Company, Illinois Tool Works, The Progressive Companies and Visteon Global Technologies.
