Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione's Robert Fergan to Take Leadership Role at the State Bar of Michigan's Young Lawyers

CHICAGO Robert K. Fergan of the Ann Arbor, Michigan, office of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., was recently elected to the position of Vice-Chair of the Young Lawyers section of the State Bar of Michigan. As part of his responsibilities, he is the editor of Inter Alia, the Young Lawyers Section newsletter and will also chair the association’s committee to select its annual “Outstanding Young Lawyer” award. 

Mr. Fergan concentrates his practice in patent preparation and prosecution, both in the United States and internationally, and has prepared and prosecuted patents in the electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical and computer science arts, as well as patents related to business methods. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University (formerly General Motors Institute) and his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, Detroit.
