CHICAGO — The intellectual property law firm of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione is among the largest IP practices in the United States, according to Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) magazine’s third annual survey of the top 25 largest IP practices in the U.S. Brinks ranked seventh nationwide among law firms practicing exclusively in the field of intellectual property law.
"Of the many IP practices across the country, we continue to expand by emphasizing client service, delivering enormous value and providing a congenial work environment," said Brinks President Jerold A. Jacover. "By focusing on these core principles, we believe our firm will continue to thrive."
Featured in the September 2004 issue, the magazine’s survey ranks the largest firms in the U.S., Europe and Asia, based on the number of IP practitioners as of July 31 of this year and who spend at least 75% of their time on intellectual property matters. The 25 largest firms had more than 110 IP professionals with ten of the 25 ranked firms listed as IP specialists. Brinks remains not only one of the largest IP firms in the country, but is also the largest firm in Chicago with an exclusively intellectual property practice according to a recently published survey by Crain's Chicago Business.
Managing Intellectual Property, published by the UK-based Euromoney Institutional Investor’s Legal Media Group, is an international magazine covering all aspects of IP practices worldwide, with more than 10,000 readers across the globe, three-quarters of whom are senior in-house counsel in multinational corporations.
Founded in 1917, Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione provides intellectual property legal services worldwide. The firm is one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the country, with approximately 150 attorneys who specialize in IP litigation and all aspects of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, Internet, unfair competition and related licensing matters.
