Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione in Top Five Firms that Represent Global 100 Companies
Firm appears at #4 in American Lawyer Media's IP Law & Business listing

CHICAGO — Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione ranks fourth among law firms representing the most of the world’s largest companies, according to IP Law & Business magazine’s annual listing of IP Counsel for the Global 100, which appears in the magazine’s November issue.

“Global clients have unique and complex IP needs and they need a legal team that understands those needs,” said Brinks President Jerold A. Jacover. “We are proud to continue to appear on the short list of firms they can turn to with confidence.”

IP Law & Business, an American Lawyer Media publication, surveyed the IP chiefs at Fortune’s Global 100 companies and asked which law firms they used as their IP counsel. Brinks was named by Berkshire Hathaway, Cardinal Health and Siemens. The firm tied with three other firms, also with three mentions: Kirkland & Ellis, Fulbright & Jaworski and McDermott, Will & Emery.

Founded in 1917, Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione is based in Chicago, with offices in San Jose, Calif., Indianapolis, Ind., Ann Arbor, Mich. and Arlington, Va. The firm is one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the country, with approximately 150 attorneys who specialize in intellectual property litigation and all aspects of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and Internet work, unfair competition and technology and licensing agreements.
