CHICAGO – Angela Hsieh, a summer associate at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione in 2010 and 2011, had her article “Circumstances for the Modification or Restriction of Exclusion Orders in Permanent Relief Proceedings of a Section 337 Investigation” featured in the ITC Trial Lawyers Association 337 Reporter, Paul J. Luckern Summer Associate Edition. She was honored with other authors at a reception on November 9th in Washington, D.C. Read the article here.
The publication of Ms. Hsieh's article is the first time a Brinks summer associate has received one of the top awards and marks the third time that a Brinks summer associate has had an article selected for the ITC Trial Lawyers Association (ITCTLA) journal. Brinks associates Raquel C. Rodriguez and Yuezhong Feng, Ph.D. were past winners.
Ms. Hsieh will join Brinks as an associate in 2012 after completing her J.D. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She holds a B.S. in bioengineering, also from the University of Illinois.
Since 1984, the ITCTLA has been the primary organization informing attorneys around the world about Section 337 practice. Association members receive the 337 Reporter, the only newsletter devoted to articles, case highlights and news regarding Section 337 practice.
ITCTLA committees present the views of the Section 337 bar to the Commission and Congress. Members attend educational programs that feature prominent international trade officials and commentators and have the opportunity to meet attorneys who share an interest in Section 337 litigation.
