Robert Fergan PhotoThe mission of Leadership Detroit is to provide the foundation for a lifelong commitment to leadership by creating awareness of key issues that affect the Detroit region and to challenge emerging and existing community leaders to bring about positive change in the community through informed leadership. Approximately 65 individuals participate in the program annually, and represent a cross section of the community in areas including business, law, organized labor, government, education, media, civic groups and health services. Leadership Detroit kicks off with a weekend long retreat session in late September and concludes in June 2012.

Robert Fergan’s practice at Brinks focuses on client counseling, licensing and patent prosecution in the United States and in other countries under the rules of the Patent Cooperation Treaty. He has prepared and prosecuted patents in the electrical, mechanical, electro-optical and computer science arts as well as patents related to business methods.
