CHICAGO – Brinks attorneys James R. Sobieraj and Allen R. Baum have been listed by Intellectual Asset Management in IAM Strategy 250 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists (3^rd. ed.), a reference guide for senior in-house intellectual property managers that lists “individuals who offer IP owners world-class strategic IP business advice.”

James Sobieraj, a shareholder at Brinks and the firm's President-elect, has more than 28 years of experience in litigating patent cases before juries, judges and arbitrators. He has represented companies in cases involving a variety of technologies, including analog and digital electronics, microprocessors, software, medical devices, automotive components and various consumer goods. Allen R. Baum is the managing shareholder of Brinks' office in Research Triangle Park, N.C., and also chairs the firm’s Chemical practice. Mr. Baum focuses his practice on licensing, due diligence review, infringement/validity studies and patent preparation/prosecution in the areas of chemistry, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, biotechnology and medical devices. He is the president and chairman of the board of governors for Certified Licensing Professionals (CLP), and is a past president of LES (USA & Canada).
