President Obama is scheduled to sign the America Invents Act into law on Friday, September 16, 2011. The Act contains a provision that puts in place a 15% fee increase for U.S. Patent & Trademark Office filings. The fee increase will take effect on Monday, September 26, 2011, ten days after the Act is signed into law. If there is any filing action you wish us to take, or that you may be contemplating, please inform us as soon as possible. PTO filings should be made on or before September 23, 2011 to avoid the higher fee.
