Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione Opens Downtown Ann Arbor Office

ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN - The Chicago-based intellectual property law firm Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione has opened a new office in Downtown Ann Arbor and will celebrate with an open house event at its Main Street offices on September 20, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. The firm occupies two floors of a 24,000 square-foot office building at 524 South Main Street, just south of the new Ashley Mews complex.

"We recognized the importance of the city's emerging high-tech sector, so we opened a temporary Ann Arbor office near Briarwood Mall last year," said Brinks President Jerold A. Jacover. "We're extremely pleased to relocate to downtown, because quality-of-life issues are important to our staff and clients and the downtown area, with its great restaurants, shops and cultural venues, is the sort of vibrant environment where our people want to be."

"The ability to get around easily and quickly are important quality-of-life issues for Brinks staff," added David D. Murray, who heads the firm's Ann Arbor office. "We have intellectual property clients all over the world and they have come to expect first-rate office locales. Downtown Ann Arbor's proximity to the University of Michigan and its Life Sciences Center makes our new offices ideally located."

Founded in 1917, Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione is based in Chicago, with offices in San Jose, Calif., Indianapolis, Ind., Ann Arbor, Mich. and Arlington, Va. The firm is one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the country, with approximately 120 attorneys who specialize in intellectual property litigation and all aspects of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and Internet work, unfair competition and technology and licensing agreements. .
