Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione Expands Offices in NBC Tower
Firm Makes Room for 30 Attorneys

CHICAGO - The intellectual property law firm Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione announced today that it is expanding its current offices in Chicago's 37-story NBC Tower building. The firm currently occupies floors 29 and 33 through 37 and will move into the 32nd floor next week as well. The new space will add about 30 more attorneys' offices as well as space for administrative areas such as the firm's human resources and accounting departments.

In a little over a year, the firm's Chicago office alone has added 16 new attorneys and 5 scientific advisors and ten more attorneys will join the firm in the fall.

"At a time when so many firms are having to cut back, we have just continued growing at a tremendous pace and we are literally bursting at the seams," said Brinks President Jerold A. Jacover. "We are thrilled to be able to expand right here in the same building."

Founded in 1917, Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione is based in Chicago, with offices in San Jose, Calif., Indianapolis, Ind., Ann Arbor, Mich. and Arlington, Va. The firm, co-creator and co-sponsor of the 2002 Chicago International IP Conference, is one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the country, with approximately 130 attorneys who specialize in intellectual property litigation and all aspects of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and Internet work, unfair competition and technology and licensing agreements.
