CHICAGO – Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, has been named “Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year USA” by Finance Monthly, which recognizes leading firms for their expertise and success.
The publication specifically cited the achievements of Brinks shareholder Jerome Gilson, including his induction into the Intellectual Property Hall of Fame and his vital role in building the firm’s trademark practice. Mr. Gilson is best known as the original author of Gilson on Trademarks, the definitive treatise on the practice of trademark law now authored by Anne Gilson LaLonde.
"Brinks’ exclusive focus on intellectual property law together with our depth of expertise of more than 150 lawyers and patent agents in various areas of science, technology and engineering are among the firm's distinguishing attributes," said Brinks president Gary M. Ropski. “Brinks is also a firm that believes in collegiality, and our clients know they are a part of a cost-effective, value-oriented team.”
Finance Monthly provides international coverage of corporate finance to professionals in the financial, legal, tax and accounting sectors. The publication covers M&A transactions, IPOs, venture financing, debt financing and privatizations. Finance Monthly also recognizes leading corporate finance players in its “Finance Monthly Global Awards” and “Finance Monthly Legal Awards” supplements.
