CHICAGO - Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., has been recognized with three North American Awards from Managing Intellectual Property magazine for outstanding achievement during the past year.
Brinks won awards for "Patent Firm of the Year (Contentious) – Midwest," Trademark Prosecution Firm of the Year – Midwest" and "Trademark Firm of the Year (Contentious) –- Midwest."
In addition, the firm was among the top five contenders in the regional awards category of Patent Prosecution and the national categories of Patent (Contentious) and Trademark (Contentious).
Brinks frequently is recognized in Managing IP magazine's rankings and surveys of IP law firms. In 2009, the firm won a North American Award in the category of "Trademark Litigation (Contentious) – Midwest."
The North American Awards, launched three years ago, recognize leading firms and individuals from across the U.S. and Canada that have performed the most innovative and challenging IP work of the past year. The awards are based on data from the publication's annual world survey of IP practitioners and owners worldwide. This year's annual North American Awards ceremony was held in Washington D.C. on April 15, 2010.
