Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione's Manish K. Mehta Elected President of Indian-American Bar Association of Chicago

CHICAGO - Manish K. Mehta, an associate at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the U.S., has been elected to president of the Indian-American Bar Association (IABA) of Chicago.

Mehta was inaugurated on January 21, 2010, along with eight other board members at a ceremony and reception held on Thursday, January 21, 2009, at Brinks' Chicago offices.

Named a “2010 Rising Star” by Illinois Super Lawyers, Mehta previously served as IABA Chicago’s vice president of events and publicity. At Brinks, Mehta's intellectual property law practice focuses on patent prosecution and litigation in the mechanical and electromechanical fields. He holds a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois.
