CHICAGO – Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the United States, was a major presence at the annual meeting of the Licensing Executives Society (USA & Canada) (LES) in San Francisco, Calif., October 18-21, 2009.
A LES Silver Sponsor, Brink hosted the welcome reception for the LES annual meeting, which was attended by 720 guests. In addition, the firm was an exhibitor at the Tech Fair held on Tuesday, October 20.
Also at the meeting, Brinks shareholder Thomas J. Filarski, chair of the firm’s Chemical Group, was elected as the 2009-2010 treasurer of LES. Filarski has served eight years on the LES (USA & Canada) board of trustees and previously served as secretary.
LES (USA & Canada) is a professional association comprising more than 5,000 members engaged in the transfer, use, development, manufacture and marketing of intellectual property.
