Kelly K. Burris, a shareholder in the Ann Arbor, MI office of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, was featured in an article titled "State Bar Representative Assembly to Honor Three Award Winners on Sept. 1" in the September 1, 2009 edition of MichBar.org, the Web site of the State Bar of Michigan. Ms. Burris won an "Unsung Hero" award for volunteering with the Air Charity Network, which transports medical supplies and people with medical conditions to places that commercial flights do not fly. Ms. Burris competed in and won the 2009 Historic National Women's Air Race Classic, a cross country race held in June of this year, and donated her winnings to the Air Charity Network.
