Roy E. Hofer, a senior shareholder at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, has published an article titled "The Real Problem: Partisan Judicial Elections" which appeared in the "Lawyer's Forum" section of the September 4, 2009 edition of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Mr. Hofer discussed the issue of the selection of judges by partisan elections and the effect partisan elections may have on decisions that judges make in court. Danielle C.
