Burris, a shareholder in the Ann Arbor, MI office of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, was featured in an article titled "Western Michigan University Alumna Wins Women's Air Race Classic" which appeared in the July 20, 2009, edition of US Federal News (online). Ms. Burris competed in and won the 2009 Historic National Women's Air Race Classic, a cross country race held on June 23-26, 2009.
