Hofer, a senior shareholder at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, wrote an article titled "Unqualified Judges Enjoy Job Security" which appeared in the "Letter to the Editor" section of the November 21, 2008 edition of the Chicago Sun-Times. Mr. Hofer commented on the retention of Cook County Circuit Court judges in the recent November 4 elections.
