Jerold Jacover was quoted in the February 10, 2004 publication of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin in an article comparing business plans and growth patterns of influential law firms. Mr. Jacover stated, "Our plan is exactly the opposite [from that of Piper, Rudnick, whose plan is to continue expanding in number of attorneys and offices.] We do one thing and we do it extremely well, probably better than anyone else in the world." He continued by discussing being approached by large firms for potential mergers, "but we have never seen the benefit." "We like each other; we like our clients. . . We have the most exciting field in any law practiced today. . . Some days I can't believe I get paid for it."
