Gary M. Ropski was quoted in the May, 2004 publication of HR Magazine in an article about protection of confidential information. Mr. Ropski commented on the matter of company e-mail stating, "All HR people should make it clear to their employees that the employer owns the e-mail. If you use the employer's system, it is not private e-mail, and therefore those are opportunities for the employer to inspect and review those communications. They should not have the expectation of privacy."
