Jon H. Beaupré
Jon H. Beaupré is a shareholder in the Chicago office of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione. His practice focuses on litigation matters, including those involving patents, trademarks, unfair competition, trade secrets, and contracts. Mr. Beaupré has extensive oral advocacy experience, including: taking or defending more than 40 depositions; arguing several dispositive motions and discovery motions; and examining several fact and expert witnesses during hearings. He also has extensive writing experience, including appeal briefs, summary judgment briefs, and Markman briefs.
Mr. Beaupré also prepares and prosecutes patents, manages patent portfolios and counsels clients regarding various patent issues. With a background in mechanical engineering, his docket focuses on mechanical and medical arts.

- Sage Products, Inc. v. Skil-Care Corporation (N.D.Il. 2011). Represented Sage Products as plaintiff in patent and trade dress infringement action regarding heel ulcer prevention and cushioning boot. The parties settled.
- Trudell Medical Int’l. v. PARI Respiratory Equip., Inc., et al., (D. Del. 2010). Represented Trudell Medical Int’l. in a patent infringement action regarding nebulizers for delivering aerosolized fluid to an inhaling patient. The parties settled.
- Amway Corp. v. MonaVie, Inc., et al. (D. Utah 2008-2010). Represented Amway Corp. in an action with claims of trade secret misappropriation, tortious interference with contract, and false advertising. The case settled after arguments on summary judgment.
- Trilink Saw Chain, LLC, et al. v. Blount, Inc., et al., Case No. 1:07-CV-0409-CAP (N.D. Ga. 2007-Present). Represented Blount in a false advertising action relating to saw chains for chainsaws. The parties settled.
- Delta T Corporation v. Sun-North, et al. (E.D. Ky., and AAA, 2006-2009). Represented several Canadian corporations in a patent and breach of contract action removed from a Kentucky state court, and then ordered to arbitration. The parties settled.
- In the Matter of [Asylum Applicant] (U.S. Dept. of Justice, Exec. Office of Immigration Review, 2006-2009). Represented on a pro bono basis a refugee from Togo seeking asylum on the basis of political beliefs. Applicant obtained asylum and the Government attorney waived appeal.
- Stewart & Assoc. Int'l Inc., et al. v. Quixtar Inc., et al. (W.D. Mo. 2007-2009). Represented Quixtar Inc. in a breach of contract action. The parties settled.
- Kalb, et al. v. Quixtar Inc. (M.D. Fla. 2007-2008). Represented Quixtar Inc. in a breach of contract action. The parties settled.
- Munchkin, Inc. v. Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, CV 06-6342 PA, (C.D. Cal. 2006-2007). Represented Wrigley in a declaratory judgment action filed by Munchkin in response to Wrigley's allegations of trademark infringement, dilution and cybersquatting. The parties settled.
- Children's Memorial Medical Center, Inc. v. Kid's Doc, S.C., et al., Case No. 1:06-cv-05844 (N.D. Ill. 2006-2007). Represented plaintiff Children's Memorial in a trademark infringement and cybersquatting action involving use of the KIDS DOC trademark and the kids-doc.net domain name. A consent judgment was entered against the defendants.
- Motorola, Inc. v. Razor USA, LLC, (Del. Chancery Ct. 2006). Represented Motorola in declaratory judgment action concerning trademark license agreement. The parties settled.
